As an admissions representative, it is my role to ensure that our school is a good option for prospective students. This involves asking questions that concern a student's goals and career inquiries. While having knowledge on disability accommodations, I don't have the authority to promise these accommodations will be made. I understand my position and will lead disabled students to the right faculty member.
One thing that makes education so important is that it can level the playing field for people of all backgrounds. Whether you grew up wealthy or from a low socio-economic background, you can have an equal chance to succeed as long as you work just as hard or harder as the next guy. This applies to those who are disabled. The accommodation is key to leveling the playing field within education, but it should not be confused with gaining an advantage other students don't have.
It was mentioned that it is common to work with someone in a group with a disability and not even know. It makes me think about my own experience in group projects and having problems with members that weren't doing their share of the work. Instead of labeling them as being lazy, there is a good chance that some of those situations were the result of a learning disability or ADHD.
Technological advances have opened up a huge new range of opportunities for disabled students to attend college/university without feeling they can't compete with fellow students. With the government making steady legislature to ensure this will continue, this will provide disabled individuals with hope.

Face-to-face interaction is very important for the success of students. While online classes are still beneficial, nothing tops being able to interact with an individual in person. This ties in with being an admissions rep, where you get to physically see your student graduate and fulfill their dreams.
As an admissions representative, you want to be the individual a student goes to if they have a question concerning your institution. If you can successfully do this, you are showing that your institute trains its employees to make sure students are on the right path for being accurately informed.
When you interact with a potential student, you need to understand that you are the manifested version of your school. Your actions, words, body language, and knowledge on school procedures will have a strong influence on a student's decision. Not to mention that it will give you sincere confidence in your school and abilities if you are able to answer every question a prospective student will have. With all the educational competition available, you need to stand out.
