As with anything or anyone in life, 1st impressions are always critical to forming an opinion about a particular matter, subject, person, institution, etc. In the time I've been teaching, I've found the impressions made by reps, the most critical impression, often has led to much disappointment by our student body. In general, I have found and continue to find the students dissappointed with their experience in general, because of the expectations set up at their initial contact via the reps.
