Thank you Lisa. I agree; I think it is helpful for students to know you have sat in their seats. I think too, it is helpful for the instructor to think about what it was like to be a student. For me, I was the quiet student, so I often have to think of how I wanted to be related to as the quiet student when I work with my shy or quiet students.
