Some student may challenge you and you must be able to identify and make corrections to ensure good flow of your class. Follow school protocol for distruptive students.
There are two type of communications used in discussion boards for students. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Students will better connected and supported seeing their teacher and their student peers as real people and not just a login name on a screen.
It is important to be prepared. Know your LMS and how to navigate it. Provide students with clear instructions and be able to support them as needed so that they feel secure in the online educational platform.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
