This module taught me that while there are some similarities between institutions in terms of policies, procedures, and operating manuals, each institution has its own presentation format. To learn more about what the institution has to offer, we must first collect information about the programs, credit hours, and delivery method. We must understand what each program offers in order to assist students in need. As an admission representative, we must be aware of the services provided by Student Services, particularly those provided by our institution. Finally, let's talk about advertising and marketing. It is critical to understand our promotional literature.

I learned in this module that it is necessary to check for updates to Florida Rules and Statutes once a month. We must understand the admission requirements for each program as outlined in the Catalog. Everything in the Catalog must be known to us, as well as where to find it. I learned where to find and how to complete the Enrollment Agreement. Finally, if the parent or student wants to know about cost of tuition, I have to look in the catalog and ask my supervisor about what information I may provide. Also i learned that we need a… >>>

This is my first time working as an Admissions Representative, and the modules are proving to be extremely beneficial. I discovered that in order to be an admissions representative, I must pass the course and complete continuing education. Second, I learned more about the terminology and definitions used in postsecondary institutions. Third, creating a Notebook (Binder) is a good tool for having immediate access to needed information.
