I learned that it is imprtant to establish a professional relationship with students. It is also important to establish a more personal relationship to a certain extent and open up discussions that are not related to the course subjects where students can interact with eachother and the instructor. It is also important to let them know you are reading their biography by comenting on an appropriate subject mentioned in the biography.

I learned that it is very important to know how to navigate the CMS system. It is also important to know how to monitor students and information retention to chalenge students along the way. I am currently enrolled in an online course so I can understand the need for support and the importance of my students knowing that I am here to support and assist in any way possible. this makes them more confortable with the online platform and they are more likely to ask questions if they are not sure about things.
