About me

The soft skills course helped me alot. I have all age groups and it helped me understand I must see myself first before the students,.

I find that a great mjority of the students I teach have very little soft skills , if any. I try to instill soft skills in them. They seem angry or some one owes them. I cannot grasp the way the Y generation looks at the world. Any suggestions on how to go about making a change for these students?
Does anyone have the problem of defining adult? I have issues with age and maturity. The student wants to be treated as an adult, although they act like a minor in behavor. Any suggestions on how to address this?

I could not put it better.  I always go with facts.  If I come across a question I cannot answer.  I simply say, I am not sure.  I will look into it and get back with you with the answer. Debra Kane

I walk daily to have quiet time. During the day I drink plenty of water. I also stop and take time to take some deep breaths.
Try to focus on what is important. If that is done most of the daily stress will be taken care of. Take a few minutes daily to just close your eyes and picture a wonderful beach with birds. It is relaxing and before you know it you feel better.

The index card with name interest, ect. is a great idea. I have asked verbally.  I think this will bring the class together much better.

Thanks, Debra Kane
