I can really appreciate the part of the course that reflected on assisting the students to be problem solvers. In many of the cases I have worked with students who didn't have the problem solving skills to know where to go or what to do about certain situations. Being tuned in to your students and approachable goes a long way to find our how you can help them. Then be able to give them direction on how to go about solving a problem.

As you are calling roll, and learning there names ask the student to answer 3 questions. 1. Why are they here? 2. What is there home town? 3. Random I use the random question to learn something personal, sometimes I pick something really off topic to surprise the students, like what is your favorite dinner or movie ect.
