Very basic info but sometimes good to here again

When students do the online questions I have them research the answers from a credible source

Having a discussion about the online content that the students have viewed is helpfull . It will sometimes motivate the ones that havent watched it to start watching

As much as we try to get them engaged in online learning it is a constant battle to keep the students from finding shortcuts through doing the actual work

Allowing students to learan at a pace that suits them

There are different types of online learners

Provide positive encouragement

Students must feel comfortable with there instructor

Understanding and taking time for student needs and better ways to help them

The diversity that we are challenged with can be quite complex at times . In three weeks we have very little time to figure out every student and there backrounds, however I strive to get a grasp of them in only a couple days and generally it seems to breakdown into different catergories. We have some students who have had previous learning and or upbrining values that are makiing the course easier to adapt to and some may be the total opposite and some in the middle of the road.
