Being very organized has been my saving grace as a new comer to admissions.

I didn't know the magnitude of how things were monitored. This training has really given me a better understanding and outlook. I will be more careful and particular with my word choice.

Meetings and phone conferences give me a full understanding, of any changes or issues that may be arising. Just reading email blast doesn't always give the best understanding. But during conference calls and meetings, things are discussed in great detail, that bring the email full circle. Also hearing someone else's way of dealing with an issue or concern, helps quite a bit. The meetings and conference calls also help me stay up-to-date with what's happening, and they offer a lot of support.

I'm very new to the admissions position and even more foreign to the allied health industry. Having confidence and a lot of access to references has helped me transition to my new job. I can't know everything but I do appreciate the intranet and the phone conferences that we have, that help me stay compliant and to do my job comfortably.
With the new documents needed for FMTI's admissions process, thank goodness for the check list, because it's a lot but I appreciate them, because they help keep in line with the regulations. I don't have time to know everything, but I have familiarized myself with as much as I can. I feel as if I stick with the plan that was written out for me, I will be ok. Anything outside of those plans, I can reference the regulations, and or reach out to someone who knows.
