The amount of knowledge acquired from this course is relevant to what is seen in today's classrooms. I personally see how security and autonomy plays a big role in motivating the students to learn different concepts while fulfilling their intrinsic needs. I have used extrinsic motivators such as eliminating the worst quiz grade and I have provide them with multiple choices on presenting their work. There is a need to maintain a balance between providing the aforementioned and achieving the learning objectives.

The course provided me with a clear understanding on generation Y and how the teaching methodology varies depending on the generation. I will be able to apply the concepts learned and incorporate them to my new upcoming class. I will accumulate the feedback data from my student's class evaluation and analyze how effective are the concepts applied.

Real Instructors

I concur that there are numerous of instructors but very few teachers. The ability to teach is an art form that is developed throughout the years in the educational field. Education acts as the main foundation for teaching, however getting across the students is not guarantee based on education alone. This course provide us with a different prospective of seeing the students as individuals rather than a group. As result it serves as a tool to bridge the gap between the student and the teacher.
