Multiple evaluations help with improving the curriculum and ensures content is relevant to the course.  Factors changing the curriculum can be changes in knowledge and technology, or professional and industry innovations. 

It is important as curriculum is reviewed that educators, as professionals, reflect upon their knowledge or lack thereof.  Also, reviewing and learning technology is a must in an online environment.

Feedback is essential to learning andrRequiring students to self-assess prior to submitting assignments/projects for instructor evaluation gives students an opportunity to review and revise their work.  When students are provided with the rubric for self-assessment, they realize the importance of the objectives and relate the designated criteria to their work.  This in itself is a learning opportunity for students to assess their work to ensure they have met the assignment/project objectives.

This really makes sense and is so important .Utilizing all learning elements in the online course is vital to developing students' learning scaffolds.  All content including learning objects and communication should introduce, enhance, and/or reinforce the learning objectives.

I would say the most importatn thing I learned is that the templates should be the same for each course. Now I know why our students sometimes get confused when they have different instructors revisingand making too many changes

This module was very helpful identifying and providing ideas and strategies to address conflict and other disruptive on line behaviors. It is easier to identify while face to face I have learned that you need to do what you can to decrease the attrition rate and offer support as needed.

I did not know that avoidant, competitive and dependent students should be identified early on and learning these strategies to assist them is something I will be working on in my classes

I learned how important it is to make sure you are projecting your self in a way that the students will respect you and your knowledge. Being open and developing relationships over the virtual platform is also very important. Creating an environment that you are getting to know each student and trying to allow them to connect with each other if they happen to be in  close distance to meet face to face

I didn't realize how important it is to be familiar with the online format and platform that the student will be using through out the course. Sometimes they seem to know better than me as a instructor as they tend to be more technologically advanced. I also learned how important it is for the students to  know that they are supported

Very helpful and a good reminder that using media, u tube video's and encouraging peer to peer interaction will improve the outcome for the students in the on line environment. Setting up successful strategies for learning will keep the students more engaged

I learned that quizes are really a method a student and instructor can use as a way of checking themselves and what was learned. It should be teting what you do know, not what you don't know
