I usually introduce the course objectives during the first class and then have students break into groups of two. I give each person in the group 2 mins to talk about what they did during their vacation while the other students listens. Then I have them reciprocate. At this point students are thinking that I will probably test their memory by asking them to state what their group member did for vacation. Instead after 5 minutes I have each group member describe in a nice way the physical attributes, eye color, hair color, clothes and so forth of their group… >>>
