Sorry, but I have to mention this despite the negative tone. I will not sing, hum or dance the Macarena. If you knew what they were actually saying in Spanish, you would realize how sexually degrading the lyrics are toward women. Dance crazes are fine & all, but just not that one. Had to vent a bit...sorry. Thanks.
So I have to say that these suggestions are indeed a bit silly. However, some do have some value to them. For example, on one hand the T-shirt idea is pretty bad and I wouldn't try this for an in-class assignment. Just my opinion. Thanks.

Who knew that TV networks and theories or models of learning could be paired together. On the surface, they seem to be stark contrasts of each other: one builds brain cells where the other destroys them. :) Seriouly. Has anyone seen what's "popular" on television these days? Don't mean to be judgmental though. Nevertheless, these statistics that TV networks have about maintaining attention do say a lot when it comes to learning new material. Thanks.
Socrates seems to keep coming up again and again lately. I've asked around if anyone knows anything about him. Some said that they've heard the name before and some have even taken philosophy classes, but can't remember much. It just seems a bit ironic that there is a theory of learning named after him, but not much of us (myself included) has learned much from him. Guess it's just a motivating factor to learn more, right? Thanks.
After learning about the different learning styles, I've realized that each one can be applied to the subject that I teach, which is anatomy & physiology. It's visual, there's written material, there's me as the lecturer...but the kinesthetic part may be a challenge. At least it will get me thinking.
