Keeping records, communicating with and conseling students, dealing with undesirable behavior, and resolving student conflict is normal in the day-to-day work of a high school teacher. It is now done online instead of in person.
Participation in asynchronous discussions can take place over a longer period of time, where as synchronous discussions are probably best done in a Nearpod collaboration board. Feedback can then be given by classmates and/or the teacher.
One of the challenges of distance is establishing relationships with my students without the usual face-to-face interactions. It is also important to project my presence and authority, which presents another challenge with distance learning.
I need to be familiar with delivery techniques and strategies for teaching online, and will need to nake my students comfortable with learning online.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
