I just completed ED 106 (Enhancing Student Learning). The course provided me many valuable tools and techniques dealing with students who have learning disabilities such as dyslexia and reading/writing difficulties. I learnt how to give concrete applications of new vocabulary words and put text inside boxes with surrounding white space. Perhaps, this is one of the best courses that I have taken so far.

Ed 105 is a very practical course. I have learnt a lot. There are many excellent ideas outlined in the course such as inviting guest speakers and planning field trips, etc.  Other suggestions are also very helpful too such as limiting no more  than five points per slide in PPT presentation, and giving a new version of test/exam for students who are absent. In all, this is a wonderful course.

I just completed ED104. It was a great course. It taught us applying various strategies dealing with students in different situations. When students confronted me and asked for better grades in the past, I usually countered each of their points and the outcome was not very effective. So I especially like the approach suggested in the module - “ When upset students confront you about a score or grade question you can reduce the tension by having them write up their complaints and submit them to you.”  What an excellent way to deal with upset or angry students.
