Instucting and learning should be a fun exprience to both the instructor and the student. If it is not fun to go to work or come to school than the end result will be less than what was hoped for by all.

This a great way to keep you from arriving at the end a of course and having a lot of material that has to be covered fast to complete the course. When you do not Refocus you will have taken something from the students because of the time element. this can lead to students thinking that they did not receive all they should have and is it writh coming to the next class or should i drop. Dropping is what we are trying to prevent.

Student retention is needed to make a profit for your company or keep students coming to your school if public supported. Talking to students daily and finding the ones who have a problem and leading them to someone who can fix their problem will increase retention.You as the instuctor cannot fix all the problems so do not try, find someome else who can take of the problem.

use all the mehtods that that covered in the material. methods used will very based on conditions such as the expierence of the students being taught, size of class, training aids available ect.

you should use all of the suggestions covered in the material we just covered. which of the methods you use will depend on a lot of different conditions. a few these would be : the weather, class size, subject, expierence of students in subject being covered, ect.

ask the students whereare you from? they enjoy this small moment you give them. kind of special time for them only

Our student are from many different states so I ask them "where are you from?". I have been to many states. If I have been to their area of the USA we talk for a few seconds about that. this helps break the ice on the first day.

if you are prepared for your course you can help your students by outlining the days activities on the board before class so as the students arrive they can look and what the plan is for the day.

the greatest reward i have received is a returning student to hire our present students and he/she find me and says "thanks for everything".

i subscribe to a good number of industry magazines and read them cover to cover to help me stay as prepared for my course. the magazines can be obtained free.
