one of the ways I approach the problem is to use multiple tests foe the same test. Using an "A", "B", "C" TEST with the exact same questions on the test is fair to the students. They all answer the same questions just in different order. Any cheaters will only effect their score.

students retention

Many students can be retain if someone can identify the problem that is creating the idea that the student can solve his or her problem by leaving school. Talking to the student until he leads to the problem will give you an opportunity to maybe solve the problem or give some advice to obtain help to solve the problem. this might save the student from quitting.

students ready to quit

students that are ready to quit can be save. If you can identfy the condition before he or she leaves for good, you can talk to this person and just talk. Talking will sometimes bring out the actual cause of the problem that is leading him or her to want to leave. the problem many time has nothing to do with school and if identfied may be able to be resloved. this might lead to a save.

LATE ASSIGNMENTS

IN ONE OF THE COURSES, I INSTRUCT, WE SET UP AS A GROUP A STANDARD, THAT YOU GIVE A TIME FOR THE ASIGNMENT TO BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN AFTER THE GIVEN DATE THE ASSIGNMENT IS DOWN GRADE BY 20 PERCENT, THAN OTHER 20 PERCENT IF LATER, UNTIL THE ASIGNMENT IS WORTH NO POINTS. THIS GIVES THE STUDENT AN INCENTIVE TO FINISH ON TIME.

GRADING TASKS

ONE OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS WAS TO DOWN GRADE FOR BEING LATE WITH AN ASSIGNMENT. I ALREADY USE THIS METHOD AND IT WORKS VERY WELL. I DID NOT ALWAYS USE THIS METHOD BUT SINCE I HAVE IT WORKS OUT TO BE A FAIR SYSTEM.

School should be fun

when students come to school the instrutor should try to make it a great learning experiece and he/she can make this happen by makeing school fun and a learning process at the same time.

instructing more then one course

instucting more than one course can be good for the instructor and the students becouse the instructor will stay fresh and not get bore repeating the same thine over and over. the will lead to a fun time for the students and should to less retentiom problems.

you must make an effort to know your students so you can spot a potential retention problem and take a couse of acting to help prevent it.

Retention is a very hard to find the cause of, because their are so many things that cause a student to leave school that have nothing to do with school. We must do all that is possible to make sure all students that drop out of school, are doing so because of outside forces that are above and beyound what the school can do for them.

retention is our life blood

If we do not retain students we could go put of bussiness or have a reduced number of students. this would lead to a reduction of staff which could lead to less services to the few students. You must try to retain as many student as possible, so they can reach their goals.
