I find that I have all different ages of students. Some are right out of high school and some middle age. I find that on certain subjects, it works well putting them together so they can compliment each other.
At what point does it feel like you have reached your students with your lectures? How do you read those students that say they did but really didnt get it.

I have found one of the easiest ways to learn student names is to let them call roll on a daily basis. It helps them relax and get to know their classmates.
How long does it take to get used to teaching students with different personalities, learning styles, etc? Any suggestions on how to recognize that.
