I learned that having a complete system is important. Looking forward to possible speed bumps is necessay to ensure the best learning environment that I can. Have multiple angles of support, through face to face interactions, forums, discussions, and video resources with a personalized approach.

I think that it is so much more important to frontload the class in terms of creating a mental model of iseeus that may arise with the curriculum as well as the set up of the classroom.

 

While working at an alternative school, I deal with many of these avoidant and dependent styles on a consistant basis, so it is nice to see explicit strategies on how they can be managed and brought out to fulfill a positive education experience.

 

What are some ways that you have been tracking students with special needs and how have you been serving them to learn the material?

 

I will create my units based on my previous class had have a google slides for each lesson that will include topcis surrounding the content to help them digest it in small pieces
