Cindy, We are participating in one of the student's most important choices in life! You are right, they have little or no trust in others or themselves, so we should be truthful and honest so their trust doesn't falter. Kathie Dherit

Cindy, True. As a consumer, I wouldn't want to be lied to in order for a company to get my business. Therefore, I would stop shopping or buying their products. Our students do the same thing, they "talk" with their feet, by leaving and not completing the program. Kathie Dherit
Kate, So true! We always say if it isn't documented it didn't happen! If we are making a statement about something, we want to make sure we can "back it up". Kathie Dherit

Pamela, We don't want to tarnish our reputation in the community or the for-profit school sector. Building relationships in the community, with our employers, and the prospective students is key. Having high standards, that as a school, we are continuing to strive for will help with our reputation. Kathie Dherit

Jennifer, I agree with you about being suspicious when someone uses a superlative when describing a service or product. We don't need those types of words to describe our school. Personalizing the response, by stating, I hope you agree with me that once you see our school, we have a great facility. Kathie Dherit

Be truthful! What we tell the prospective student should not have to be misleading in order to get them to come to our school. If I was in the prospective student's shoes, I would want a school to be truthful to me. We want to build a lasting relationship with the student and the only way we can do that is to be truthful!

Shelley, These students are putting their future into our hands. It's only right that we are honest with them. I do like your statement of people may not like what we have to say, but at least we are being truthful and they will in the end respect us for telling the truth! Kathie Dherit

Toby, Great answer. Knowing that our students (consumers) can trust the information we give to them will show over time. We can see it in our Student Satisfaction surveys, and also the number of referrals that are given to us by our students. As stated in the training module, believing that the trust can outweigh the negative impact on the imperfections we disclose, is so true. Kathie Dherit
