I've learned the difference between asynchronous and synchronous learning styles. As an online instructor you need to be able to keep your students actively engage. This listen has provided some insightful ways to do this. You also want to provide feedback to your students and get their feedback about the content and structure of the course. 

rAs an online instructor you must be able to show your students that you are there to support them. You must make your presence felt. You can do this by leading and monitoring discussion post, reply to all students discussion, and respond to any questions in a timely manner. You also need to demonstrate your authority as an instructor. This can be done by providing a brief biography of your academic crentials, professional experience, and any accomplishments. The end goal is to establish relationships with your students to provide respect, trust, and understanding. 

What I have taken from this module is that in order to be an online instructor you must understand your institutions CMS. Most institutions used modules and topics. You also need learn how to perform  many different task on such as looking at rosters, grading work, posting discussions, and many other things. As an online instructor supporting  the students  is key through things such as getting back to them in a timely manner. You also need great technical support.
