I have been a fan of designing learning objectives around multiple intelligences and higher order thinking skills as related to course objectives for years. I learned about fishbowl critiques in an AP workshop and have used it with high school and college students as a way to learn about their own writing and accept feedback from peers. All students must participate. What I have found is that after the initial session, students look forward to analyzing their own learning through the debriefing questions we use.
