There is a lot of content in this module to consider and to further research.  Usually we are taught how to manage behaviors in face to face classes, so there is quite a bit to look in to as far as how to facilitate student learning and encourage appropriate on line behavior and discussion.

I thought it was really useful to learn that no more than 30 minutes in the synchronous environment should be for critical course content. I am also going to be looking more closely at tools for interaction in the synchronous environment.

I plan to suggest to my colleagues that we add an introduction page to our on line class to introduce ourselves professionally and more informally with a picture and something about our interests.

It may be fun to offer a place where students can introduce themselves but we do have to be aware of privacy concerns with our particular students.  Perhaps we could offer a forum where students can do this but are not required to do so. Or perhaps we could have some sort of online "Bingo" kind of game where people put their names in an interactive document… >>>

The Course Management System need an underlying framework or structure that is easy to navigate.  Student must be able to access help easily from the teacher and from technical support.  While a CMS may provlde the basic structure, teachers/instructors may use the basic CMS in different ways.
