Some of the challenges found when teaching ground classes can also be found with e-learning. One area that I found of interest is the one of students who will decide to quit due to attrition that was contributed by either challenges with technology or feeling overwhelmed by the workload for the class. I would like to implement the helpful points mentioned in this module to not only reduce the amount of students dropping the course but to also make it a positive and productive learning experiece for the student. I know the differernce between asynchronize and synchronize discussions and how to be utilized for e-learning. Asynchronize discussion is the preffered method for all students to participate. Students who have learning styles of avoident, dependant and competetive can all benefit from asynchoronice discussion. If synchronized discussion is used some things to consider is to restrict the total time for core chat session to a maximum of 30 minutes, allot time for socializing, and address learners by their preffered name.

I've learned that projecting your presence for students from the very beginning is important. Students can find comfort knowing that you are transparent and approachable when it comes to discussion and questions. The idea of having students also write a short biography introducing themselves is a great way to get to know your student. This short biography should help me as the instructor to not only get to know my student, but also inform me of any special needs or concerns the student may have. What I have learned from this module is that as an instructor I need to become familiar and feel comfortable with utilizing the platform the school will utilize for Online learning. The instructor needs to become familiar with the manner in which he/she will be delivering the subject matter to students and incorporate different tools to engage students. Students will also need learning support and technical support  as they begin learning how to navigate the system and use resources.
