A good teacher, in addition to having charisma, must identify the personality traits of his students and treat them according to their particularities. That is why this module on types of students seems so interesting to me. In the traditional classroom it is quite easy to see these differences between personalities, but it had never occurred to me to identify them in an online learning environment.

Synchronous and asynchronous discussions are vitally important for online learning. Motivating students to participate in them is often difficult. I think the key is in the questions that the teacher designs, the consistency in the moderation of the forum and that the instructor considers evaluating the participation of the students with degrees. It has given me good results to create teams and appoint a boss for each one, so that they evaluate each other and themselves. Trying online what is achieved in the traditional classroom is a good goal. Of course with synchronous and asynchronous blogging it is not as easy as face to face. I support myself in classes by zoom meeting where everyone has to activate the camera and microphone, I use the whiteboard alternating with powerpoint. That brings us much closer to all than with chat and forums.

This module allows you to see the generalities of distance education. As an instructor of this modality I regularly put these instructions into practice. I liked seeing this material summarized and it made me reflect on it.
