Activity

i was a little nervous when i found out i had to take this online training with quizzes. i am new to employment in the field of education and i was concerned that i would have trouble learning the material quickly. however, i was impressed with the training that the MAX provided. I felt that i could read the material fairly easily and the questions were conscise and appropriate for the material i will be working with in my new profession. i am much more confident now to work in the financial aid department after completing this training.

this is a controversial subject for many people. submitting to background checks and credit approvlas for jobs is a violation of privacy for many individuals. however, when working in a school environment especially with financial funds, i believe that having a check on employees is a safe bet for all involved. it provides protection for the school as well as the student.
i am new to the technical school education experience and i was wondering what is expected of financial aid advisors when we attend a recruitment function at a high school or other function.
As a graduate of a university i am aware of how students want to be treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve. Often institutions look at the student as a number or a folder in their system and it is discouraging when the student cannot get the help that is needed. By educating employees on the studen'ts rights we are able to provide excellent care for the student. it allows us to be accountable for our actions and perform our job duties to the best extent that we can.
