Dyslexia is a vey popular one. I am interested in those students who have emotional disturbances such as aggression or depression and how those illness affect learning. There is so much work to do with students who experience emotional disturbances.
Learning difficulties are common in the adult-ed classrooms. It's important that students are identified and set up with the support needed to succeed in their goals.

Adult students enjoy working in groups because they enjoy the opportunity to interact and learn about their commonalities and goals.
It is critical to have students up to date on their progress. Returning graded exams within a day is highly appreciated by students and also a best practice.

In adult education, it is critical that students are given some type of pre- assessment. Adult students come with background education and knowledge and instructors should acknowledge it as much possible in order to keep them engage.

Although it can be very time consuming, using media in the classroom is very effective.

Having guest come into the classroom is very exciting to students. Consider bringing someone who can teach a particular content better than you can, it makes a great difference

I think that establishing a connection with silent students helps them to open up and start networking. Teachers must find out where that connection may exists and pursue it until connected.
If instructors have good listening skills, it's uncommon that they be challenged by a student.
