I've found showing students how to create text and excel templates to be very helpful for their learning, and time saving too.

If you do use youtube and wikipedia sources as examples, it's important to show students that this material may not be the most accurate on that topic.

This will really help me reach some of my students. Teaching at a music school, I will show students how to listen, and not look at the music.

Has anyone seen this recent news? It suggests you can possibly learn better, not sure what to think, I need to read up on it more. http://www.npr.org/2014/01/04/259552442/want-perfect-pitch-you-could-pop-a-pill-for-that

Another technique tfor a 'know it all' is to ask them to tell the other students where he/she learned about the topic. It could be a forum, another class, or themselves.

It's very helpful to have a 'last-class review' within the first 10 minutes of the next day's class.

The course material describes a game where students break into groups and use coins for a game. The assessment/quiz says this does not use intrapersonal skills...I would argue that they need these to communicate their ideas. I would concede that it is the 'least good answer' but let's see who responds.

At school we allow students internet access during class. We only block certain cites, and I think students are still distracted by this. Just wondering how many of you block internet access during lectures?
Hi all, sometimes our classes can go for close to two hours. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to balance instructional time with practical application?
I teach at an audio engineering school By bringing the students on a field trip, I saw a noticeable improvement in their interest levels the very next day!
