Activity

It looks as if it is going to be a long time till we go back to our classrooms. Meanwhile, we cannot let our students fall back in their education. This course has helped to create my new path for online teaching. I definetly suggest that all teachers who plan to go online should take this course. Very special training.

Reply to Dianna Baltosser's post:That annoys me, too. I don't feel comfortable when students drop my classes and try to assist them back in.

I learened about different types of students and how they should be handled. I should learn  about the institiution code and apply them in my courses whenever it is needed.

Reply to Kimialeesha Thomas's post:I agree with that. It is better to have asynchronous discussions to instruct important course content.

I have learned about synchronous and asynchronous meetings and that asunchronous meeting is a better choice with e-learning.

Discussion Comment

The topic has to be one where you can start a discussion with, and all students should be included in this discussion.

I am planning to visit Turkey next summer. Does anybody know about Turkey's history?

Reply to CariAnn Squier's post:I thought that it was getting too personal asking them for a biography, but now that I know the benefits of it I will use it in my courses.

It is very important that you get personal information from your students through their biography, so that you can start a conversation that will make them feel more comfortable. Also it is very important to tell about your personal background and achievments so that students can trust and respect you knowing about your experience.

It will take a long time for us to go back to teaching in classrooms. Meanwhile, we should be prepared to help our students on-line using CMS (Course Management System).
