consistency is incredibly important to a students ability to learn effectivley. it is also important that information flows smoothly and works as planned wich is why it is important to test and correct moduals.

The tips on dealing with different kinds of students were useful. It will give me the ability to better identify the different kinds of students i could encounter in the future. 

Synchronous and asynchronus meetings both have their benifits and drawbacks. i can see how it could be challenging for slow typers, or even those with slow/limited internet access. when it comes to  whole class discussions asynchronus chats seem to be the best choice for students. However i think synchronous chats could be benificial for meeting with small groups for projects or group presentations. 

the techniques for engagings students who seem checked out are useful. I had not considered using students questions or answers as ways to help engage them in th material. It can be dificult to stay engaged in an online learning environment and anyway to alleviate this can be very helpful. 

My only experience with online instruction is as a student. I had not considered everything that will go into the instructing side of it. Things such as timing and communication can make things complicated, especially if things malfunction and impeade a student's progress.  I learned that there are a lot of things to consider when putting together an online course and it could majorly impact my student's ability to learn.
