I think counseling is necessary to have when student's are receiving student loans. I also think that schools should offer counseling throughout the year on the do's and don'ts of loan borrowing. So many students borrow more money than they need and end up in thousands of dollars in debt before they even graduate. I don't think students realize the impact that student loan debt adds to your life after college. Ten years, sometimes even twenty five years is a long time to be paying off student loans and unfortunately some students put themselves in that situation by borrowing way… >>>
