Sheri, Thank you for sharing your experience with the online technology. Blogs provide an ongoing space for self reflection and commentary. I found blogs very helpful in developing the personal voice of the students in the class. Wikis are very helpful in developing collaborative skills. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Dr. Stacee, Great examples! I love the tactile creativity of your projects and I have used the Pearson MyLabs in my teaching and found them very useful for accessing and evaluating prior and ongoing knowledge development. I would suggest you explore some of the new simulation programs available for those tactile students who look for manipulatives as well as fpr those less so, who may need to enhance those skills. The software would also provide a blended opportunity ...thank you for sharing your ideas! Dr. Ruth Reynard
Dr. Stacee, Your approach is very holistic which is great! How does new technology help you in any of these examples you have described? Do you think there are other kinds of skills your students are developing as a direct result of the technology used? Dr. Ruth Reynard
Dr. Stacee, I agree that the technology provides constant connection and I also think that because of that, current students truly expect that kind of connectivity to content, instructor, and peers throught their learning experience. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Dr. Stacee, Yes, full participation is central for both students and instructors. Great points! Dr. Ruth Reynard

Daniel, Do you have any specific feedback from your students on the success of this technology? Dr. Ruth Reynard

Daniel, I agree - access is central to the technology. I would also suggest that the actual heightened interaction can increase student engagement in learning. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Jaclyn, I would not "expect" a specific response to this question - multiple technologies and multiple applications in learning. I am interested in how teachers use technology to mediate and deliver education. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Jaclyn, ...and it maximizes multiple inputs...this creating a dynamic learning environment. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Amy, Yes, both of your points are important - self-paced learning and customized feedback from the instructor. Dr. Ruth Reynard
