This course reinterated to me the imporatnce of using instruction that will reach the different learning styles of students. As primarily a clinical instructor, the "hear it, see it, do it, teach it" technique has been the most affective technique I have found thus far in the lab and on the floors.  The students are usually nervous at first, but once they are at the last stage to "teach it" to a peer they are very confident and have built their self esteem.

I like to get feedback from students. I periodically ask them during the course if there are areas they feel needs improvement in order to help them learn. I know that they take an end of the course evaluation, but many times they breeze through this because they are finished with the course and want to move on to the next. Also, asking them during the course helps me to be able to make changes immediately to help them learn the content and be successful.
