I think its important it make it clear to the student how to get help they need. They shouldn't feel bad about themselves for needing help.

I think its important for any institute, school or even a hospital to take the time and recognize the positive accomplishments a student or even an employee does. It doesn't have to be monetary, just a verbal acknowledgement can be all that's needed to let someone know their worth.

speaking without negativity

How do you handle it when a potential student brings up negative comments about a different school? Do you just state that we are not familiar with that schools issues and try to change it to something positive about our school?

recruitment

I'm a little surprised that some states do not want recruitment in "welfare" offices. I understand that some people may be vulnerable but I also believe some people are unaware or their options. Is there any information given at these offices to help with a long term solution?

doing the right thing

I have found that even in the employment world as well as schooling it is very hard to figure out the chain of command and the order of whom to speak with regarding concerns as well as complaints. It would be nice and probably save a lot of frustration if that information was easier to find.
