I usually walk around the room and have found it to be very effective. The students watch and listen and I have their full attention. They definitely enjoy coming to class with an instructor like that instead of one siting at a desk .

Generations in Education

I am in the education field teaching medical assisting. I have found these courses to be very helpful to me in the classroom. They will all help me to be a better instructor and therefore have better students.

open and closed questions

I try to use both types of questions in class. I have found using more open ended questions gets the class discussions going better. Once someone starts to talk more all students seem to follow

Deaf student s in the classroom

For the first time I have a deaf student and interpreter in my class soom. I try to make her feel comfortable and part of the class as much as possible. I look at her just as much as others and not at the interpreter. So far it is all working well. I have learned a lot from this class

retention

I really enjoyed this course. We as instructors, need our students to retain information . Years from now they may be taking care of us. Over the years I have run into many of my students and they will always tell me something about what I taoughrt them thAT HAS CHANGED THEIR LIFE, OR SAVED SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE . iT IS A VERY GOOD FEELING!!

extrinsic and intrinsic

I just compleed this class and I have found it very helpful. It seems I have been using some extrinsic ideas all along such as rewards and certificates. I plan on using many more of these ideas in the future.
