As instructors we have daily routines and we just go through the motions. Some of the day to day tasks have certain sense of urgency because of our policies. That being said, it is always good practice to revisit the BASICS! From time to time we may have the tendency to deviate from our duties as instructors. Adult Motivation

Adult motivation to learn comes at a higher price. Adult learners bring something of extreme value to the table called life experience. Adult learners need to find the WIIFM therefore the subject matter and content of the curriculum means so much more. What motivates you to learn?

Hidden Agendas

I believe that hidden agendas do ruin what’s planned to be a successful meeting. Meetings should be well planned and organized, but from time to time the person conducting the meeting looses the reigns due to hidden agenda topics that want to be discussed by other people attending the meeting. This training is definitely going to be a useful tool.

Firm and Direct

On the first day of a new class I tend to get an important message across to the students. I am firm and direct letting the students know that I am the PACK LEADER. I go over the rules, objectives of the course and my expectations of my students. I tell them that my attitude will be a direct reflection of theirs. Once the message is sent, I tell them that it will be a fun class and very educational. I try to provide a positive and interactive learning environment. What are your thought?

Attitude

Attitude is a very important fact when it comes down to the interaction between you and your students. A positive attitude goes a long ways when you are trying to get a point or a subject matter across. It is important that you have an up beat personality and a simple smile on your face. We all have personal issues in life but when that bell rings its "SHOW TIME"! I try to animate myself and provide a positive learning environment.
