As an educator, it is within my greatest believe that everyone can be taught. Although they may not learn at the same degree, they can learn. Those that have a passion to educate will be more effective at helping the individuals that have a disability.

At my institution we are required to lecture 15 minutes then a hand-on activity for 15 minutes (preferably a group assignment). I have noticed that this is effective but can cause distractions depending on the group which you may have. For those that have used groups discussions, which is more effective, working in pairs or 3s.

As educators, learning in ongoing. Should we be looked down upon if we are unable to answer a specific question. I am aware that no one knows everything. But working within todays society people are judgmental, especial to those that have titles.

It is unethical to withhold information. Some people do not take the time to ask the necessary questions. In the instance that you have information that can help the individual in which you are assisting, you should relay the information. I am a firm believer "Treat others how you want to be treated".....I would want someone to give me information in the event that I did not know.

When working within the public it is important to be ethical. An understanding of all rights and responsibilities should be explained upfront as well as protected.

Loan counseling is important. It will provide the repayment plans available as well as the guidelines and effective monitoring.

If you "do the right thing" from the very beginning, you will not have to worry about going against the guidelines which I have been set. Doing the right thing reflects the morals and values which are in place.

All institutions should provide accurate and reliable information to their prospectives students. Misrepresentation of the school can undermine the values of the institution.
