The most interesting thing for me from this module is the learning styles. Because my students are immigrants learning English, I find that many of my students fall into the Dependent Student learning style which I believe to be partially cultural. I would like to learn more about this to help them be less dependent.

Instructor presence and establishing a trusting relationship with students is important. I feel I have a good start on this and will continue to work towards these ideals.

Quality online courses have a good organizational structure that is easy to navigate. They require students to interact with the materials, and the course is learner centered. I am learning all the capabilities of the LMS. Before teaching online, I only used basic features of the LMS. So now I can use the LMS in a variety of ways for online teaching (and I am still learning). There is definitely a learning curve.
