Kenneth, The ability to incorporate survey responses into a PowerPoint in a near instant is a fantastic tool for transferring knowledge! Thank you for sharing the link to this exciting product. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Jamie, Best of luck with these enhancements to your classroom! What kind of simulations are you looking at implementing in the learning environment? Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Jennifer, Thank you for sharing. I am happy to read you will implement a discussion board into your classroom environment. I find it very effective and the students who tend to say very little in class find their voice in this environment. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt

Troy, I have seen a shift in delivery practices in the classroom as typical "chalk and talk" classes such as English Composition are now being taught in a computer lab; this does create a problem when the students are not familiar with the technology. The teacher may find that they are not only teaching the course subject material, but computer basics as well. A mandatory computer basics course or a competency exam is always a good idea before introducing computers into the classroom, I do hope this is something your institution has in place or perhaps planning to put in… >>>

Courtney, I have found YouTube to be a popular choice for culinary educators- thank you for sharing! As a novice, I have viewed demos posted by the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), I find the videos on their channel to be very well made and informative. http://www.youtube.com/user/CIANetwork Yours in learning, Theresa Schmitt

Karen, I find my students and younger faculty members are on Instagram and Twitter, yet their posts link to their Facebook account, so they are essentially posting messages on all three social media outlets at once. You hit the nail on the head when it comes to text messages as well. It is my experience that students are not checking email as often as they were just a few years ago and when attempting to reach a student regarding an urgent matter, I will send a Facebook message or send a text via Google voice with a number specifically set… >>>

Tenisha , I find trade shows a fantastic way to not only stay abreast of new trends, but network with other professionals in my field. Definitely a win, win situation that benefits both me and my students. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Ward, Fantastic idea! You are teaching students how to make the most of technology, and rather than simply giving htem the answer, teaching them how to be self motivated learners. Yours in learning, Theresa Schmitt
Tammara, I fully agree! There are often times perks to membership as well, such as scholarships and the ability to have your work published in professional journals. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Paul, In your field, I would assume so much of what you do is hands-on practical demonstration. Perhaps YouTube videos and links to information-filled websites would be best. Perhaps some handy apps that help students identify the correct tools for the job or a database of vendors would be helpful. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
