Lisa, I have used the PowerPoint game templates and they are definitely engaging for the students. A simple exam review session can be transformed into an ultra, competitive game show, in which all of the students are anxious to display their knowledge of course content. Tremayne Simpson

Bryce, Honestly, I believe that this is the best method for handling student input. Student input should be informal, because it enables them to be more candid and honest with their course feedback. Tremayne Simpson

Bryce, This is an efficient method for properly planning out each course session, however I believe that it is a good idea to implement a little flexibility within the plan to allow for the unexpected, "teachable moments". Teachable moments can be derived from a general discussion, a student question or an informal review of a class concept. Tremayne Simpson
Alejandro, I use a similar approach as well. Diversifying the instructional methods, is an excellent technique for increasing student engagement in the course. Tremayne Simpson

Jorge, I also seek out student input, frequently. You never know how their input can impact the overall class discussion. Tremayne Simpson

Curran, This is a great concept for enabling students to provide input. In most cases, the students are satisfied when their ideas are heard and taken seriously. Tremayne Simpson

Nichelle, Excellent question. I feel that the evaluations are important, provided that the students are candid with their responses. In addition, it is important to have at least a 60% completion rate, in order to ensure that the majority of the students were able to provide input. Tremayne Simpson
Kathleen, What source do you use for your educational videos ("Ted Talks", school library, etc.)? Tremayne Simpson
Kathleen, Most institutions have standardized learning objectives. Does your institution allow you to edit or change course learning objectives? Tremayne Simpson
Sandra, This is a great idea for implementing technology. What subject(s) do you teach? Tremayne Simpson
