This Module certainly gave mmany "house keeping" tips.  With on-ground teaching, you have file cabinets to keep your work as well as the students work that will evenually make it to their permanent file.  e-learning records should be easily accessible too.  Managing students behavior online and reducing the possibility of attrition can be managed by being aware of the overwhelmed student's needs and helping the mis-behaving student to see how they can contribute in another positive way.

This module has encouraged me to consider different ways to use the Discussion Board and what a positive impact it could have on the students learning.  I now have a new and different perspective on how it can be used.  Providing feedback is something enjoyable.  However, a consideration of the amount and kind of assignments must be made in order to provide timely feedback.

Influence, Persuade, Inspire and Engage that is what an instructor is called to do.  To project presence in an online course, creating and modeling answers wiil give the student an example of what to reach for.  Providing a short biography of myself including my Academic Achievement and Professional Experience will give the student cofidence in my ability to teach.  Something I have done as an on-ground facilitator was to have the students fill out a questionaire telling me something about themselves.  Afterwards, I would use some of the information in an assigment or email to let them know the assignment… >>>

Course Delivery is the twin of providing great content to the students.  Knowing how the course can be delivered effectively begins with knowing the platform or CMS in which you are working.  Being able to confidently navigate is essential.  Knowing everything about the system and what you can do will allow you to provide the students with the best online experience.

It is quite important that the students feel comfortable working within the CMS and the use of the computer.  Providing support through the instructor and the online help desk is a necessity for success.
