Multiple evaluations are needed for learning. It is important to use multiple assessments when assessing something because a single assessment might be flawed or inaccurate in some way.

I learned the importance of having various types of assessments.

Assessment is a key component of learning because it helps students learn. When students are able to see how they are doing in a class, they are able to determine whether or not they understand course material.

I have learned the importance of developing a syllabus. The syllabus lays out your expectations for the quality of work you expect from your students and shows students how they should prepare for class

I learned the importance of consistency when creating course modules. The goal of this kind of training is to help you achieve your fitness or performance goals.

For online learning opportunities to be successful, teachers and leaders of schools must be aware of the pedagogy and tools that necessitate great learning for students. 

One benefit of online learning involves course rigor and professor expectations. The same grading standards apply to on-campus and online learners. As a result, online courses prepare students for their future just as well as on-campus courses. Additionally, accreditation agencies evaluate online courses and approve only the best ones.

Non-Technical Skills ('NTS') are interpersonal skills which include: communication skills; leadership skills; team-work skills; decision-making skills; and situation-awareness skills.

Online learners need basic technical skills to succeed. These include the ability to create new documents, use a word processing program, navigate the Internet, and download software. Most online schools have new student orientation programs.

I learned that the Teaching Goals Inventory (TGI) can help you discover something about yourself as a teacher. The TGI is an easy-to-use, self-scoring, online tool to help you discover what you value about teaching and learning. Although it is primarily used by faculty members who are developing or revising instructional goals, it also is useful for anyone teaching college courses or developing a teaching portfolio.

One of the most important things in online tutoring in a virtual classroom is to be sure that every student participates in the lesson. Encourage students to ask questions and to answer each other. Include various teamwork projects and divide the students into groups working in different breakout rooms.

When learning online, feedback allows the learner to assess their progress and determine potential areas of self-improvement. It promotes self-reflection, increases knowledge retention, and encourages constructive discussion with instructors or other online learners.
