It is crucial to the class efficiency and the leadership of the instructor to be prepared. When students see that you have put time into preparing their instruction it provides a foundation of respect. Also, I dislike going into a class unprepared. I feel flustered and likr I failed when I leave the classroom, I am sure my students feel the same way. The more prepared I am the more likely I can manage my time to focus on challenge areas for students and possibly fit in class study time for upcoming exams.

When you are organized as an instructor you are able to focus on your students instead of what you need to do. It also provide you with structure in classroom. Students know when an instructor is not organized and if you are not organized then they do not take the class serious and lack in participation.

We need to set the example of professionalism in the industry. If I appear organized and prepared for class, the students will realize that this is a trait needed for thre industry.

I think that students will respond more positively to an organized, "together" instructor. If an instructor seems to be incapable of getting his or her own affairs in order, the students may wonder what they've gotten themselves into. Second, students will, even if slightly, emulate the teacher. Therefore, if the teacher presents a haphazard model, the students' organizational skills will wane too. Finally, if the instructor preps for each class, he or she will see any potential questions, problems, or issues ahead of time and can work the answers/solutions into the class.
