Prep for class
I try to make sure I use many teaching styles per class as to catch everyones attention and make them successful by playing to their individual strengths.
Brian,
Sure, we want the best classes, and it would be unusual for one class syllabus or outline to be identical to the next. Even if the syllabus was the same, the topic outline or the way the class material is presented would be different. This is a version of what we the module refers to as student centered learning.

I like using the prefab as a template or something to start with. I think modifying for the course or class makes the assignment more fun or beneficial for the students. What works for one group of students may not work well for another.
Camille,
I've found creating my own handouts, worksheets, and related materials helps me zone in exactly on what and how I want things to be for my students. Prefab is for those who are satisfied with mediocre, which may be OK in some settings. I am only speaking for myself.

I do agree and am even guilty of relying on pregenerated paperwork. Lately, I have been creating my own learning materials.
Darlene,
I think a good mix of activities that cater to all learning styles probably works best. In general, getting students to move up and around is always a better option than sitting and listening to someone talk.

could you be more specific? How do you cater to those who are kinesthetic learners?
Felix,
Paperwork and resources are important, but there's no replacement for plain old review of materials, checking to make sure everything is working, reading over lecture or discussion topics - in general, being fairly certain the class will run as planned.

I think prep is very important, however many instructors are heavily rely on pregenerated paperork
Pamela ,
Great. Variety and frequent change-ups contribute to better attention, focus, and student engagement.
