Professionalism
I am a true believer that first impressions are lasting one. As an instructor we should present ourselves in a professional respectful manner. Our students are looking at how we present and carry ourselves so we must stay on top of our game.
This is crucial in any learning environment. The first impression is what makes or breaks that relationship
I agree with your statement. The students come to school to emulate the teacher. The example we set for a new student is what they will take with them to their chosen career. I think we have to remember we are not training the student to be our peer, but to be our successor.
Hello Wanda,
This is so true and so many students have not had a role model to look up in the professional arena and they really admire the instuctors in the classroom. I am new to teaching and have truly enjoyed the opportunity to be a motivator and coach to inspire those who are trying to move ahead.

This is so true on many levels. I also feel our professionalism should not end at the classroom door. To bring forth a level of professionalism into our daily routine really provides our students with a solid foundation for understanding the true value of professionalism.
I agree. We are models for the students. Our professionalism set the standards for the class.
