Motivation

To be able to motivate the students, I think the instructor needs to be motivated. If the instructor shows a desire to improve and is excited to teach, the students is influenced positively. Positivity invites positivity. An astute instructor tries to motivate his/her student every day.

Kim,
So true! If we don't bring it it won't be there and why should it? We need to be excited about our field and the fact we get to share our knowledge and experience with the students. It is catching.

I believe this as well... it's kind of like that saying, "A Product of Your environment" so to speak. Because a student is not able to get excited or motivated, if the Instructor doesn't show that kind of energy and drive for the course they're teaching.

I agree that passion for your subject matter communicates to the student the value of that information and your want to share it.

in order to motivate the learners , one should have a very strong background in her/his field of expertise. Experiences is my number 1 objective in motivation. Relating the experiences to the learners and guiding them the steps to success will definately catch the attention of many learners.

I absolutely agree and I am sharing your oppinion regarding motivation .Before you motivate your students inthe class you as ibnstructor have to motivate and positive in your field.

Hi Changhiz,
I support your position on this. If instructors are not excited nor motivated about the field students won't be. Excitement is catching!
