Planning
Preparation of a class to me is the key for overall success towards students reaching the desired goal of learning and hopefully retaining course content.
I'm also a new instructor, and I find that if I stay focused on the planning, I'm less nervous about the presentation of the material. I agree that the students are more likely to trust my knowledge of the subject when I am well-prepared.
I think that you're right. I am also a very new instructor, and have learned myself through trial by error. However, one thing is for sure, the more prepared you come, the more students seem to gain trust into your insight.
I agree. If you are not well prepared to teach, then the students do not benefit at all. Being that this will be my first time teaching, I'm already nervous! But, I know myself and I always prepare very early on. In doing so, I will be more at ease in discussing certain topics and providing pertinent information to the students.
Helps student to develop trust of the instructor
With these things the student can achieve many things threw planning, honesty, integrity and setting goals makes you and your student better in the end.
I agree, If you don't prepare your day is wasted, along with the students day.
Along with that confidence also comes trust, as they see you prepared they become more confident and will trust you at a greater level.
