It is important to have a well-prepared syllabus for your course so on day one your students know that you are a well-prepared instructor. (One reason)
Quick question, I'm in the process of re-writing a syllabus for each course my dept. covers. This has became a daunting task. Everytime I think I'm done, something else seems to pop up. Can anyone tell me where I might find some examples of a syllabus? I believe it is important, I'm hoping the other instructors will adopt them, so we all are teaching the same material and teaching it in a step by step manner. I believe even if we have to adjust it as we go, it will allow our students to receive the best instruction possible. We will never have a perfect course, but that is our goal.
