A model we use in instructional delivery is call END. Examples, Nurturing, and Direction. We say the beginning is the END. Just as you say, start dynamic and end the same way so they will want more.

The first few minutes are key when it comes to keeping and retaining attention. Starting a class with something captivating will result in a greater student focus. Ending the class with something to look forward to for next class will serve as a motivator.
